Abstract
  • Universities are considered an industrial sector and part of a nation's system of science, education, innovation, and producers of knowledge that is give it special attention in the field of governance and management performance system. Performance management system aim to arise efficiency and effectiveness of performance which is need to adopt proper tools to attain this aims, so this paper provide a literature review about the concept of governance especially university governance, its objectives, importance and its principles also discuss in briefly governance critical factors and challenges in universities on other hand this paper provide literature review about performance management system and its importance in universities.
