Abstract
  • This study explores the benefits of piano study for students' personal and professional development, the challenges of online piano instruction, and potential solutions to these problems. Surveying both students and educators in China, this study employs a descriptive research strategy rooted in a blend of positivism and interpretivism to ascertain their stand on the matter. Everyone agrees that learning to play the piano has positive effects on one's intellectual and ethical development, according to the results. It was obvious that social skills were crucial; musicians' skill levels usually rose after collaborating with peers and working on group projects. Nevertheless, challenges related to social learning were found. Some of the suggested methods include interactive video courses and online peer cooperation. By bringing attention to the significance of both human and technology resources, this research contributes to the continuing discussion on what constitutes excellent music education.
