Abstract
This study conducts an interdisciplinary exploration of the folk story motifs on Jingdezhen ceramics through artificial intelligence visual analysis methods, aiming to reveal their inheritance and evolution mechanisms as "cultural DNA". Traditional research is mostly limited to case analysis and it is difficult to have a macroscopic grasp of the evolution law of the motif. This paper constructs a dataset containing a large number of ceramic images, uses convolutional neural networks for motif recognition, classification and style analysis, and combines in-depth qualitative interpretation to establish a research paradigm of "human-main-auxiliary". The research findings reveal three core laws: Firstly, the motif such as "The Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate" has evolved from a symbol of the imperial examination system to a modern inspirational implication while maintaining the stability of the composition. Secondly, the motif of "Visiting friends with a zither" shows significant stylistic differences between literati paintings and folk ceramics, reflecting a creative dialogue between elite culture and popular culture. Finally, the combination of motifs such as "happiness, prosperity and longevity" has constructed a complete auspicious space with an almost perfect co-occurrence frequency, meeting the multi-dimensional spiritual demands of the people.
