Abstract
  • The study explored the attitudes, motivations, satisfaction, and challenges of second career teachers. The descriptive study employed purposive sampling of second career teachers. Data were gathered using adopted instruments, supplemented by data from interviews and were treated statistically using frequency counts, percentages, weighted means, and ranking. The respondents have much favorable attitude towards teaching. They are much satisfied with various aspects of the job. The respondents are motivated by the desire to teach and be of help to learners and fellow teachers and to contribute to the society, aside from having security in the job. The challenges identified by the respondents are related to student behavior, bulk of work, instruction, and facilities.
