Abstract
Due to the rapid spread of the Internet, platform companies have made significant progress. However, the Internet platform, as a novel and inventive business model, has given rise to numerous new societal issues. As a food-ordering internet platform app which owns 260 million users, Ele.me has been subjected to a significant deal of criticism and controversy despite its enormous success. By case study, this article examines the business model of Ele.me through the lens of Corporate Social Responsibility. The article explores the potential solutions to the difficulties, as well as the reasons of the problems, the obstacles that businesses face. In conclusion, the incorporation of Corporate Social Responsibility into platform business models is considered as a viable strategy for developing a sustainable business model for platform businesses. Through the perspective of Corporate Social Responsibility, this study examines the possibility of CSR can play a more effective role in the business model for embracing change and transformation.
