Abstract
  • The study presents a comprehensive analysis of the Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS), which carried out at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) as an important part of the Foundation Programme. The study's main objective is to assess how lifelong learning programs affect higher education. Over a six-year time frame, from 2018 to 2024, it measures student satisfaction with each of the program's three main course concentrations. The intention of this study is to identify the main factors that influence student satisfaction, such as campus amenities, academic support services, teaching quality, and curriculum design. It also focusses at how students' opinions of their educational experience may be influenced by variables including gender, socioeconomic status, and past academic achievement. The results reveal significant differences between satisfaction ratings between various demographic groups and course sections. This implies that without careful consideration, departmental ranking or institutional measurement should not be based on raw satisfaction levels. The findings also demonstrate the important role that variables like perceived graduate employability and student-to-staff ratios play in determining overall happiness. The findings show the significance it is to establish comprehensive, student-centered teaching strategies that give equal weight to professional and academic growth. In an effort facilitate evidence-based modifications to the development of curriculum, institutional policy, and student support services, the study ends with a suggestion for continuous, longitudinal monitoring of student satisfaction data. The main objective of the study is to improve the quality and relevance of education in the UTM Foundation Programme and the larger framework of higher education in Malaysia.
