Abstract
  • This study explores the linguistic features of romantic poetry of 19th century which are taught in the colleges of China. The study is a qualitative case which is involved with a semi-structured interview of three teachers from the colleges of China based on random sampling. From the findings of the study, the attitudes of Romanticism included a deeper appreciation of the beauties of nature or even a general exaltation of emotion over reason. In conclusion, the 19th-century romantic poetry that is taught in the classroom of colleges in China has a huge impact on students in order to develop their knowledge and understanding of that time while comparing the changes or transformations in the modern era.
