Abstract
  • Abstract: The key to mastering a Math subject depends on the technique of solving a math problem itself. It appears that the Ministry of Education has been working hard to revise the content of mathematics from year to year as it has come up with a simpler and easier-to-understand math solution for teaching young people today to produce future leaders not only to manage but can look up quickly. Therefore, various studies have been conducted to study the strategies and methods used in solving a mathematical problem. However, as we have seen from previous literature reviews, most of the methods are applied and applied in the teaching and learning process in schools, there is little to no variation in the way learning is implemented. As such, this article will discuss and study the strategies and methods of solving math problems used at various levels of education in our country, from primary, secondary and even university level by comparing the strategies and methods of problem solving mathematics used outside countries through 20 articles published from 2015 to 2019 using two major databases, Google Scholar and Eric. The main method used in mathematical learning today is the Polya model that will be used as the main model in comparing it with the methods and strategies used in mathematical learning. This systematic review was conducted to look at all the shortcomings and gaps observed in the methods and strategies used in solving mathematical problems in our country.
