This study endeavoured to examine the leadership skills development of military cadets and how this was impacted by instructor roles, motivation to lead and individual hardiness of the cadets. A total of 331 military cadets in their final academic year responded to a questionnaire survey. The quantitative data was analysed using both a descriptive and inferential methods, which included the Pearson correlation test, multiple linear regression analysis, and the independent sample T-test. The findings revealed a significant relationship between instructor roles, motivation to lead, individual hardiness with military cadet leadership skills development. While the multiple linear regression analysis revealed that individual hardiness was a vital predictor in leadership skills development of among military cadets.
