Abstract
  • Wireless controlled devices and automatic notification are common when there is an internet connection. When it comes to a rural area with a limited internet connection, an internet-based wireless device is impractical to be utilized. The development of this innovation utilized wireless electrical switching, automatic trip detection, and leverage the usage of GSM SIM900 as a communication medium in the area with no internet connection. The objectives of this innovation are to eliminate physical present in any location for tasks involving the operation within a household or industry, to detect MCB tripping for important equipment running under surveillance, and to enable wireless control communication of electrical appliances in the area with a limited internet connection. When the user sends a specific pre-programmed SMS code from the mobile phone to the GSM SIM900, the output from the controlled circuit will trigger the relay to turn on the selected electrical appliances. Then, when the MCB trip, the user will receive a notification via SMS. This innovation has the potential to be commercialized to the electricity utility company to detect trips wirelessly without depending on the internet connection. It is also can be applied to electrical appliances for private residential to control via SMS code The wireless switching of electrical appliances was able to assist the user when away from residential and the MCB trip SMS notification was able to enhance safety and response time for on-site checking when notified.
