Abstract
  • Isola di Francesco, an island under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Panglao, Bohol, Philippines which was recently opened to the public, attracts the attention of many for its unusual way of operations. It accepts donations as payment for transportation, food and even for the use of its facility. The uniqueness of its management sparked the questioning mind of the researchers regarding its sustainability. This study focuses on the methods used by the management in its operations to keep it going. The results revealed that the island's cash inflow from donations was sufficient to cover its operating expenses. This signifies that the island is sustainable even with its unique way of acquiring funds. The researchers find it vital to recommend strengthening the internal control in terms of money handling and disbursements.
