Abstract
  • Mastery of public speaking skills is crucial for students in higher learning institutions. This study aims to explore university students' experiences with public speaking anxiety (PSA) within the Malaysian public university context by looking at both virtual and physical presentations. Data gathered using semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis conducted using Nvivo14. Furthermore, the study guides the development of interventions and support mechanisms aimed at bolstering students' confidence and performance in public speaking. This research is significant for university students to gain insights into the causes of public speaking anxiety and its impact on academic performance, thereby facilitating the development of effective coping mechanisms and support systems for both online and physical presentation contexts.
