Abstract
  • Rainfall has been recognized as the primary factor contributing significantly to landslide incidents globally. This is attributed to rainwater infiltration, resulting in fluctuations in groundwater levels, which play a crucial role in landslide occurrences. This article reviews the previous study on the relationship between rainfall intensity towards slope failure. A summary of the present research was conducted, and it is apparent that rainfall intensity is one of the elements that plays a role in landslides. Ultimately, rainfall leads to significant landslides, affecting pore pressure and frictional strength.
