Abstract
  • Miscommunication happens when there are discrepancies between what is said and what is understood. Effective communication is essential at work as it not only generates stronger interpersonal relationships but also impacts the business’s overall productivity. It is important therefore to overcome this situation. The Directive Communication Coloured Brain psychometric model by Arthur Carmazzi is the organization of the different classifications of “genetic neuro-processing” and defines the way each person experiences their environment and takes in and interprets information, which results in specific ways of perceiving and evaluating events and situations. There are 4 colours; red, blue, green and purple. Each of these colours have different characteristics. As such, their understanding of subjects will be different from those with different colours. A study was conducted to executives in a manufacturing organisation. The employees were trained and tested on the application of colored brain. They found that it was easier to communicate with their colleagues.
