Abstract
  • This article takes LuXun’s New Story as an example and observes the sense of rhythm presented in the work through the external form of language and the internal means of expression. The external form, i.e. the reduplication of words and the neat and clear rhythm, make the text more vivid and perceptive. The internal means, i.e. the plot, has a rhythm of ups and downs; the twist at the end is even more thought-provoking. The author argues that the language of New Story not only creates a sense of rhythm on a superficial level but also guides the reader's perception and understanding at a deeper level. This complex rhythmic structure not only enhances the text's aesthetic tension but also broadens the emotional space that Lu Xun aims to convey.
