Persepsi terhadap program vaksinasi Covid-19 dalam kalangan pelajar prauniversiti

Abstract
  • Kajian ini telah dijalankan pada tahun 2021 bagi mengkaji persepsi terhadap program vaksinasi dalam kalangan pelajar prauniversiti ketika itu. Objektif yang digunakan untuk kajian ini ialah untuk mengenalpasti faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pelajar prauniversiti; berumur dalam lingkungan 17 hingga 18 tahun, untuk menerima atau menolak vaksin yang sedia ada, mengkaji halangan yang dihadapi pelajar prauniversiti untuk mendapatkan vaksin Covid-19 dan mengkaji pemahaman pelajar terhadap kelebihan vaksin Covid-19 kepada pelajar prauniversiti. Perpustakaan dipilih sebagai tempat pensampelan utama untuk mendapatkan sampel kajian yang lebih menyeluruh dan umum. Kaedah yang digunakan untuk menyiapkan projek ini ialah melalui kaedah temubual bagi 20 orang responden terpilih iaitu 10 orang pelajar lelaki dan 10 orang pelajar perempuan. Dalam kajian ini, hasil dapatan mendapati faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pelajar prauniversiti tersebut untuk menerima atau menolak vaksin yang sedia ada ialah keraguan terhadap program vaksinasi termasuk ketakutan terhadap kesan sampingan, pengalaman lepas yang buruk dengan pegawai penjagaan kesihatan, penerimaan rakan sebaya, persepsi negatif terhadap pembekal vaksin, teori konspirasi, kerisauan terhadap program vaksinasi dan kurang kepercayaan kepada penggubal polisi kerajaan. Hasil kajian ini juga menemukan halangan yang dihadapi pelajar prauniversiti untuk mendapatkan vaksin Covid-19 antaranya ialah sikap ibu bapa yang kurang percaya akan program vaksinasi Covid-19 sehingga mempengaruhi keputusan pelajar tersebut. Seterusnya, dapat dikenal pasti juga cara pemahaman pelajar terhadap kelebihan vaksin Covid-19 ialah melalui televisyen dan makluman dari sekolah. Secara konklusinya, hal ini telah membantu untuk menunjukkan korelasi antara pembolehubah, dengan itu berjaya menyediakan data yang mencukupi untuk membuat kesimpulan bahawa kajian adalah selaras dengan objektif. Kepentingan kajian ini ialah walaupun banyak kajian telah dibuat ke atas pelajar berkaitan persepsi mereka terhadap program vaksinasi Covid-19, kajian ini amatlah penting untuk mengetahui tentang kesediaan mereka menghadapi norma baharu ini, ia agak jarang dilakukan ke atas pelajar dalam peringkat persediaan terutamanya semasa Pandemik Covid-19.
