Abstract
  • Tourists’ revisit intentions are crucial for the sustainable development of the tourism industry, yet the relationship between post-trip perceptions and revisit intentions remains underexplored. This study examines the effects of memorability and satisfaction, two key dimensions of post-trip perceptions, on tourists’ revisit intentions. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 260 respondents who recently stayed at homestays in Henan Province, China. The results of multiple linear regression analysis indicate that both memorability and satisfaction have significant positive effects on revisit intentions, with satisfaction having a relatively stronger impact. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of post-trip perceptions as multidimensional constructs, emphasizing the complementary roles of cognitive evaluations and emotional connections in shaping tourists’ behavior intentions. Practically, this study provides insights for destination managers and homestay operators to enhance tourists’ satisfaction and create memorable experiences, thereby fostering loyalty and encouraging repeat visits.
