Strategy for building Muslims family resilience in contemporary era

Abstract
  • The following article denotes a brief report on community service activities at Sompilan Tegaltirto Berbah Sleman Yogyakarta in November 2020. This plan is entirely funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM), Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta Indonesia. The primary material of this activity is how to build the resilience of Muslim families today. More specifically, this paper describes strategies to build resilience in today's Muslim families. The Strategies to build family resilience include pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding agendas. Therefore, many things need to be developed to build and maintain Muslim families' resilience in this era. In this connection, the concept of family and a concept based on values, legal norms, and Marriage is a concept based on a very dynamic culture. The current Muslim family fiqh developed in a more responsive and solutive direction to problems that arise in society. By considering comprehensively and wisely local values, such as traditions or local wisdom, national values, such as state legislation and global values, such as human rights and gender. In connection with building a sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah family, the religion has a strategic position because of its prophetic values. In this relationship, building a happy family also requires all parties' active involvement, from the state/government, community organizations, community leaders, and religious leaders. One of the essential agendas so that Marriage or family can reach the sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah families is to avoid risky marriages, such as unregistered marriages and polygamy.
