Abstract
  • The current study investigates the role that digital and cognitive factors related to AI in driving innovative work behavior in electric vehicle companies, while the main emphasis will be on how affective commitment, as a moderator, comes in. In line with the theoretical framework of Dynamic Capability Theory and Digital Transformation Theory, the research perceives innovative work behavior as a fundamental micro building block for the organization functioning as the lens through which the company can see the new technologies coming on the market, capitalize on the possibilities given by AI, and adapt the current processes to the fast changing market and technology. As for the AI-based integrated electric vehicle companies, the capability of the employees in the area of relational support, cognitive empowerment, and digital fluency is by a great extent the power of creativity. The shift of the investigation entails that workforce is seen as possessing organizational support, leader-member exchange, and psychological empowerment which are the main enablers of cognitive and relational that in turn strengthen motivation, confidence, and autonomy to innovate. Nevertheless, the degree to which these factors are transformed into the continuous innovative work behavior will be mainly influenced by the employees' affective commitment that is, their emotional attachment, organizational identification, and the longer-lasting willingness to give extra effort for the benefit of the organization. The study has been realized through a quantitative survey methodology and the advanced-multivariate analysis that was used to carry out the empirical tests on the impact of these variables and the inhibitory effect of the commitment to feeling on the outcome of the innovation. The research outcomes are designed to provide the two-fold theoretical integration of a strategic employee innovation within dynamic capability perspective with AI-driven organizations equally get strategic value with it.
