Hubungan antara motivasi murid dengan pencapaian matematik: Kajian literatur bersistematik

Abstract
  • Pencapaian di dalam Matematik masih berada di tahap yang rendah di Malaysia. Hal ini jelas dibuktikan dengan keputusan penilaian antarabangsa seperti Programme for International Students Assessment (PISA) dan Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) murid di negara ini yang jauh ketinggalan di belakang berbanding dengan negara-negara lain. Kajian sorotan literatur bersistematik telah dijalankan ke atas 21 artikel bagi mengenal pasti hubungan antara motivasi murid dengan pencapaian subjek Matematik. Kaedah pemilihan artikel diterangkan secara terperinci berdasarkan kaedah Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Pangkalan data yang digunakan dalam pencarian artikel ialah Scopus dan Web of Science (WOS). Hasil penganalisisan data mendapati faktor kognitif dan bukan kognitif sebagai faktor utama yang mempengaruhi motivasi murid dalam pencapaian subjek Matematik. Faktor-faktor bukan kognitif yang dibincangkan dalam kebanyakan artikel boleh dibahagikan kepada dua kategori iaitu motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Motivasi intrinsik merujuk kepada psikologi manakala motivasi ekstrinsik ialah persekitaran bilik darjah dan sosioekonomi. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi gambaran kepada semua pihak berkenaan dengan faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi murid agar pencapaian Matematik di negara ini dapat ditingkatkan.
