Graduate Students' Academic Writing Difficulties: A Quantitative Analysis

Abstract
This paper collated data on the academic research writing difficulties of the 76 graduate school students in writing their theses and dissertation using an adapted questionnaire of Mayagma (2017). Results demonstrated that majority of the respondents find difficulty in writing their theses and dissertation. Given the observed difficulties, it is necessary to review and revisit the contents and instructional strategies employed in the research methods and statistics courses that the university offers. Graduate students may receive training in academic research writing to help them even more with producing scholarly papers.
