Abstract
  • This research is a field research that discusses the Effect of Nazhir's Competence in Waqf Management on Education with Productivity as an Intervening Variable. This research is urgent to add to the wealth of knowledge and insight to determine the effect of Nazhir's competence, waqf management on education and waqf productivity as an Intervening variable. This research data was collected through the Lisrel 8.80 Software Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with three independent variables, one dependent variable with a population of 500 and taking a sample of 356. The role of waqf is expected to be able to contribute to the basic education sector to higher education optimally through management productive waqf, considering that the portrait of education in Indonesia is still concerning. The cost of education continues to increase, causing people with lower-middle economic groups to find it difficult to reach it. Based on the results of the study showed that the competence of Nazhir did not significantly affect the productivity of waqf. Waqf management has a significant effect on waqf productivity. In addition, there are also nazhir competencies that do not significantly affect education. There is also waqf management which has a significant effect on education, and the last is waqf productivity as an intervening variable that has no effect on education. The managerial implication is that it is necessary to provide education and training to nazhir in order to be able to manage land waqf optimally in order to support improving the quality of education and also economic welfare for the people, that Muslims and legal entities who are given the responsibility to manage waqf need to improve their competence in managing waqf. waqf. Institutions and Community Organizations that manage waqf should provide socialization to waqf managers in order to become professional, accountable and good governance, and get good and maximum results.
