  • The fast advancement of Guochao, in recent years has made it prioritize the consumers' preferences. It had made a major shift in the design and marketing strategies of hotels in China. The research on the same mentions how Ru porcelain connects stories, build emotions and thus provide a platform to the hotel brands. According to the findings, the material’s smooth texture, soothing feel yet the celadon color standing out, and the association with Song Dynasty philosophy bring greater guest experiences. However, the study indicates that existing studies are incomplete, with little real-world evidence and do not provide appropriate bridges between design and branding research. It also noted that no clear design guidelines for using Ru porcelain in hotels are provided. To solve such dilemmas, the review proposed a framework highlighting how cultural symbols can be turned into spatial design elements that influence guests’ emotions and behaviours.
