Abstract
In Malaysia, waqf housing projects frequently encounter the obstacle of high development costs, which can impede the sector's sustainability and expansion. The objective of this study is to develop a conceptual design for the Expert E-Waqf prototype system, with the intention of minimising the development cost. This study proposes technology-based solutions to address the primary factors that influence development costs by employing an in-depth literature analysis approach. The proposed Expert E-Waqf prototype system integrates waqf management practices with information technology principles to establish a more efficient and effective platform for the planning and execution of waqf housing projects. This conceptual design takes into account not only technical aspects but also socio-economic factors that are crucial for the successful implementation of this system in the field. The findings of this study are anticipated to offer guidance for the development of a more effective Expert E-Waqf system, while also contributing to the reduction of development costs and the enhancement of the sustainability of waqf housing projects in Malaysia.
