Abstract
  • This study examines the post-acquisition change management process at Bank Maspion Indonesia following its acquisition by Kasikornbank (KBank) of Thailand. The study examines the impacts of change management practices on operational performance, organizational integration, and strategic alignment. The study uses the McKinsey 7S Framework to identify alignment gaps and Kotter's 8-Step Model to create actionable change initiatives, utilizing qualitative data from internal and external stakeholders. IT system limitations, leadership fragmentation, and cultural misalignment are among the primary obstacles that have impeded the seamless integration of the organization. The significance of structured change management, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous adaptation to guarantee sustainable post-acquisition growth is underscored by the conceptual framework proposed in this study. The findings offer practical insights for financial institutions that are navigating comparable mergers and acquisitions, underscoring that success is contingent upon internal coherence and strategic execution, in addition to financial investment.
