Abstract
This systematic literature review delves into the crucial integration of strategic planning, knowledge management, and human resource planning, aiming to bolster organizational resilience within today’s dynamic business landscapes. By meticulously analyzing 147 studies published between 2010 and 2024, this research introduces the Transdisciplinary Integration Model for Organizational Resilience (TIMOR) framework. This framework offers actionable insights for organizations striving to cultivate adaptive capacity while upholding operational excellence. Our findings reveal that organizations embracing integrated management approaches achieve a remarkable 40% higher resilience score compared to those relying on traditional, siloed methods. This translates into substantial benefits for a diverse array of stakeholders, including employees, customers, communities, and investors. The TIMOR framework meticulously outlines three core components—strategic planning, knowledge management, and human resource planning along with three integration mechanisms and three emergent meta-capabilities: adaptive sensing, dynamic response orchestration, and transformative learning. These elements collectively amplify organizational resilience. This research significantly contributes to capability-based theories and stakeholder theory, while simultaneously offering practical implementation guidance that organizations can tailor to their unique contexts. Ultimately, the study underscores how resilient organizations foster substantial societal benefits through economic stability, community development, and sustainable business practices.
