Abstract
  • Kualiti hidup merupakan isu yang sering dibincangkan dalam kalangan penyelidik sosial kerana ia boleh menjejaskan kehidupan seseorang. Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia merekodkan 2.7 juta daripada kumpulan pendapatan B40, dengan 63% tinggal di kawasan bandar manakala 37% tinggal di luar bandar pada tahun 2016. Keadaan ini boleh menjejaskan kualiti hidup bagi kumpulan B40 jika tiada langkah diambil untuk mengatasi situasi ini. Bagi mengatasi masalah ini, masyarakat digalakkan menggunakan modal sosial sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan tahap kualiti hidup. Objektif utama kajian ini untuk menilai pengaruh modal sosial terhadap kualiti hidup bagi golongan berpendapatan rendah B40. Kajian ini melibatkan 100 orang responden dalam kalangan golongan berpendapatan rendah di Kota Bharu. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif. Data dikumpul menggunakan borang soal selidik dan data dianalisis menggunakan perisian SPSS. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan pengaruh dimensi modal sosial ke atas kualiti hidup responden adalah sebanyak 21.7 peratus. Justeru, pihak berkepentingan boleh menggunakan hasil kajian ini sebagai asas untuk mewujudkan atau menambahbaik dasar, prosedur dan program yang lebih baik untuk masyarakat. Selain itu, kajian ini juga telah memperkenal enam dimensi modal sosial iaitu jaringan, kepercayaan, norma, peraturan sosial, keupayaan dan keperluan beragama. Kesmua dimensi ini diyakini akan memberi impak kepada kajian yang berkaitan pada masa akan datang.
