Abstract
  • Masalah seksual remaja dekad ini sudah menjadi satu perkara yang amat membimbangkan. Lebih membimbangkan remaja kini terlibat dengan salah laku seksual seawal usia 11 tahun. Justeru, artikel ini dilaksanakan bertujuan mengenal pasti sama ada remaja perempuan cenderung melakukan hubungan seks di atas dasar cinta atau nafsu. Pengumpulan data melibatkan satu kajian fokus terdiri daripada lapan orang penghuni Asrama Bahagia Kampung Pandan. Analisis kandungan tema telah digunakan dalam mencari makna terhadap isu ini. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan remaja perempuan cenderung melakukan hubungan seksual untuk mendapatkan cinta dan kasih sayang daripada pasangan. Namun, perasaan cinta tersebut mampu berubah menjadi keinginan seksual atau nafsu apabila remaja mula aktif melakukan hubungan seksual bersama pasangan. Pengkaji juga mendapati remaja turut cenderung mendefinisikan hubungan seksual sebagai cara untuk menyatakan perasaan cinta dan kasih kepada pasangan. Dalam masa yang sama, kajian ini turut mencadangkan beberapa alternatif dalam usaha membendung salah laku seksual di kalangan remaja kini.
