This paper collects relevant data on students' participation in the SEM dance course through the questionnaire survey method, and focuses on analyzing the performance of this model from five dimensions: classroom participation, learning interest, skill mastery, teamwork and overall satisfaction, in order to explore the application effect of the physical education model in the dance teaching of Baise University. Through the analysis of the questionnaire results, it was found that students generally have a high evaluation of the SEM classroom model, and the SEM model scores the highest in stimulating students' interest in learning and enhancing classroom participation. That is to say, its effect is particularly significant. Meanwhile, through the scatter plot, it can also be found that there is a significant positive correlation between students' classroom participation and skill mastery, as well as between their teamwork level and overall satisfaction. In conclusion, the research finds that the physical education model effectively transforms students' passive roles in traditional dance teaching through core elements such as team grouping, task-driven, and seasonal arrangement. This not only enhances the effectiveness of skills teaching but also demonstrates unique advantages in cultivating team spirit and comprehensive qualities. It is hoped that these research results can provide a strong practical basis for the reform of dance teaching in colleges and universities.
