Abstract
This paper presents the design, development, and evaluation of an integrated web-based appointment in a decision support system (DSS) aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of MyLovelyCat Houz, a pet care provider in Malaysia. The existing manual booking method suffered from several limitations, including inaccuracies, inefficiencies, and customer dissatisfaction. To address these challenges, a web-based DSS was developed with a focus on improving organization operational efficiencies by designing user-friendly interfaces and key functionalities such as service booking, customer management, and appointment scheduling. The findings demonstrate significant improvements in user satisfaction, operational efficiency, and data security. These results underscore the system's potential for broader adoption in the pet service industry, particularly among Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia.
