Abstract
  • Pengertian hidup dan syukur dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan telah menarik minat ramai penyelidik psikologi positif. Tujuan kajian ini ialah untuk melihat hubungan dan pengaruh sumbangan pengertian hidup dan perasaan syukur ke atas kegembiraan subjektif. Kajian ini merupakan kajian rentas yang menggunakan teknik persampelan mudah untuk mendapatkan sebanyak 220 orang responden di sekitar Johor Bahru. Kadar pulangan borang soalselidik yang lengkap adalah tinggi (83.2%). Pengumpulan data bermula pada November 2009 dan Januari 2010. Tiga alat ukuran piawai kajian ini ialah Meaning in Life Questionnaire (MLQ) untuk mengukur erti hidup, The Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6) mengukur perasaan syukur dan Subjective Happiness Scale (SHS) pula mengukur kegembiraan subjektif. Keputusan kajian mendapati bahawa pengertian hidup dan perasaan syukur berkorelasi secara signifikan dengan kegembiraan subjektif. Semua pembolehubah didapati memberi kesan pengaruh ke atas kegembiraan subjektif (30.1%) berbanding dengan hanya sumbangan pengaruh pencarian hidup (0.4%) dan perasaan syukur (1.6%).
